The Scout Uniform consists of the official scout shirt, navy utility trousers or shorts and scout belt. When your child makes their promise they will be given a group neckie – this is also part of their uniform. The scout belt is not required every week but should be worn as part of their ‘full uniform’ to events and group outings.
Please see badge placement below.
Please note:
Occasional/Fun Badges: Your child may receive an occasional or fun badge during their time in scouting. An example of this is the Queen’s Jubilee badge. Some occasional/fun badges can stay on your uniform for a short period of time and then it must come off, while others go straight onto your camp blanket. When your child receives one of these badges your leader will let you know where it goes.
Staged Badges: Only the highest number should be worn on your uniform.
Joining In Awards: All of your joining in awards can stay on your uniform
Chief Scout Award: If you have achieved your chief scout silver in cubs this can be worn on your scout shirt until you earn your gold.
